We set up window displays to celebrate Easter and St. George’s Day
As you know, we love marking special occasions with a themed window display, and April gave us the perfect opportunity to get creative.
With St. George’s Day and Easter falling just days apart, we embraced the chance to celebrate both.
While it's easy to feel disheartened by certain headlines regarding the current state of the country, St. George’s Day reminds us to take pride in our culture and the little things that make England unique. And Easter, of course, is a wonderful time to enjoy family, indulge in a few treats, and share some well-deserved fun.
A huge thank you to Leigh Loney for her fantastic work in bringing the window to life – take a look at her brilliant displays below!
FTAdviser interviewed Seán to get his thoughts on Trump’s tariffs
Last month’s headlines were dominated by one issue: Donald Trump’s imposition of US trade tariffs.
But what impact could these tariffs have on your investments, and should you be worried?
FTAdviser recently spoke to Seán to get his insights on the matter. You can read the full interview here or revisit our previous article on the topic.
In short, the key points from Seán’s interview are:
Always have a clear financial plan
Make sure your investments are well-suited to your goals and actively managed
Market downturns are inevitable, but we can’t always predict when or why they’ll come
Preparing for volatility helps you stay on course and remain invested in the right assets
Avoid letting emotions dictate your investment decisions – short-term noise shouldn’t derail a long-term strategy
Stick to the plan and stay the course.
At MLP, we’ve supported clients through countless market cycles over the past 40 years. And time after time, those who stay disciplined and well-diversified come out stronger.
Our recent wine event for clients was a hit, and there’ll be more to come!
We take pride in the quality of our products and the care we put into achieving the best outcomes for our clients. But over the years, we’ve come to realise that what truly sets us apart isn’t just the service, it’s the experience. It’s the relationships we build and the community we create.
That’s why we’re focused on more than just growing a client base; we’re cultivating a culture.
Recently, we hosted an evening of wine tasting with leading wine expert Tim Killen. There were no presentations or pitches, just good wine, great conversation, and genuine connection.
Clients mingled with one another and with our team, sharing stories, laughter, and, yes, even a few questions about new financial needs.
We find that nights like this create something that lasts longer than a transaction; they create community.
A huge thank you to everyone in the MLP team who ensured the evening ran smoothly, and to Tim for sharing his expertise and passion for wine.
We celebrated Claire’s birthday!
Claire has been with MLP for 10 years, but as you can see from the balloon we gave her below, she recently turned 8! Leap Year birthdays always keep us on our toes – even in finance.
No matter what the calendar says, every birthday is a milestone worth celebrating.
Claire is a key part of our Adviser Support team, a client favourite, and a hugely valued member of MLP. Her hard work, warmth, and dedication never go unnoticed.
Knowing her love for the theatre, we treated her to some vouchers, though we have a feeling Sue may have had herself in mind as the likely plus one…
Enjoy your well-earned break Claire – and happy birthday!
Katie ran the Paris marathon
In April, our newest adviser, Katie, took on an incredible challenge by running the Paris Marathon!
Fresh off the heels of completing the London Marathon last year, Katie caught the running bug and couldn’t resist signing up for another race, and this time, she ran alongside two close friends from university.
We’re incredibly proud of her determination and drive, both on the course and in the office!
Well done, Katie! We can’t wait to see which marathon you tackle next.
See you next time!
We hope you’ve enjoyed reading about what the MLP team has been up to. Look out for our next update coming soon.
