Welcome to the October edition of your behind-the-scenes MLP team update.
From attending award nights and celebrating milestones to giving our window display a seasonal makeover, the team has been as busy as ever!

We were named one of the top 50 boutique firms
Award season is upon us, and MLP is shaping up well so far.
We recently received recognition in the FTAdviser Top 50 Boutique Advisory Firms.
Selection for the award is entirely based on merit and not on an application. So, although we didn’t win, the recognition goes to show how well we’ve done.
We’ve also been shortlisted for the Surrey Business Awards in the Professional Services category, so fingers crossed for that one!
While it might feel like the accolades have arrived at once, the reality is that this is the result of years of hard work.
And we’re not stopping here. We’re continuing to build, improve, and push forward. And we hope to attend many more award ceremonies along the way!
Autumn has arrived at MLP
As you may know from previous editions of the MLP update, we like to design our window displays to fit the season.
So, now we’re in October, our office window has had a full Halloween-themed makeover complete with pumpkins, bats, and cobwebs, thanks to the incredible work of Leigh Loney. Leigh created the entire display herself, and it’s already turning heads on our high street.
We love brightening up our street, standing out, and having new faces turn up to find out who we are and what we’re about.
We aim to be the ‘go-to’ Financial Planners, and our welcoming window displays help us do just that.
MLP now manages over £200 million in assets
MLP now manages over £200 million in assets on behalf of our clients. This is a significant milestone considering that not so long ago that figure was just £20 million.
While assets under management (AUM) are not the only measure of success, taking stock and reflecting on our achievements and growth is important.
Looking ahead, we want to:
Become a nationally recognised firm
Reach £1 billion AUM and beyond.
While these are ambitious targets, £200 million was also once seen as ambitious for us, and the sky’s the limit.
We want to thank everyone who has contributed to this achievement, including clients, staff, and the leadership team.
We’re top-rated, again!
We’re proud to share that MLP has been recognised in VouchedFor’s Top Rated Adviser Guide for the eighth year in a row.
All of our Advisers feature in this year’s guide, which is a fantastic achievement that reflects the dedication of our whole team.
What makes this recognition particularly special is that it’s based on client reviews. Offering valuable service and advice is our main aim as a business, so receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback means the world to us.

Happy one-year MLP anniversary to Leigh
It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since Leigh Loney joined MLP as an Administrator.
After such a short period of time, she is now fully embedded in the team, and her passion for her work is clear to see.
One of our core values is to promote happiness, and Leigh embodies this. Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities in administration, she is constantly suggesting and implementing new ideas to improve the way the business operates.
As ever, we celebrated her work anniversary with a cake, balloons, and a gift.
Leigh, your first year here has flown by, but the impact you’ve made has been significant. Here’s to many more successful years together!
Our team enjoyed the last of the summer holidays
Although summer is now well and truly over, several members of the MLP Wealth Management team enjoyed a final bit of sun abroad before winter arrives.
Matthew travelled to Barcelona with his family and visited some of the city’s most famous landmarks. From the towering Sagrada Família to Park Güell, and even a trip to see the Black Madonna in the mountains, there was no shortage of sights to enjoy.
The family also spent time shopping and eating paella, which all made for a memorable getaway!

Katie enjoyed a trip to Corfu with her fiancé and stayed in the village of Kassiopi. She explored the picturesque streets, soaked up the sun on the island’s beautiful beaches, and enjoyed plenty of traditional Greek food.
Aaron recently travelled to New York and Washington, D.C. to celebrate his father’s birthday. The trip was a memorable occasion, filled with sightseeing, family gatherings, and the chance to explore two of America’s most vibrant cities.

Administrator – A role for either an experienced career administrator or someone looking to break into the financial services industry with full support and hands-on experience.
Financial Planner – You’ll inherit a bank of clients and receive direct management and mentorship from either Seán or Paul.
